Meet the bandleader

A lifetime in music

Kim Lloyd has spent his entire career in music. As a percussionist, he knows that a great night lives or dies on the groove, and that the band driving it has to be tight.

As the owner of his own music store, he spent years helping musicians of every level find the right instrument and the right sound, and got to know the players who make up the region's music community.

Long before “corporate events band” was a term, Kim was playing in one: a 10-piece show group that built a following across Cincinnati, Columbus, and Louisville, played a week in New York, and rang in New Year's Eve at an event on the Hudson River north of the city.

The Silver Fox Band is that idea, rebuilt bigger: 13 performers, assembled and led by someone who knows exactly what great live music can do for a room.

The players

Meet the band

Armenté playing vocals

Vocals

Armenté

Fifteen years of performing across the United States, from professional theater to a touring rock band. Armenté moves easily from smooth R&B and soul to pop, rock, hip-hop and rap, with clean, captivating vocals. For her, great entertainment is about more than singing: she invites guests up on stage, joins the crowd on the dance floor and gets the whole room singing along, so everyone feels welcome and keeps smiling long after the music stops.

Brian Avery playing saxophones

Saxophones

Brian Avery

Over 40 years on saxophone, and a band director and private instrumental teacher since 1998. Brian played in the ska band The Stoutbeats and the swing band The Mobcat Orchestra, opened for the Athens Symphony Orchestra with Foundry Street Jazz, played the pit for Rome Little Theatre, subbed for The Georgians, and has played plenty of gigs for fun across Georgia. He is currently learning instrument repair at Southeast Musical Institute. Offstage, Brian is a family man who loves time with his wife and three kids, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
